Our Story
Casa Árbol began with one unshakable truth: no child should ever feel unwanted. For years, our team at Árbol de Vida has walked alongside families in some of Mexico’s most desperate communities — neighborhoods marked by poverty, addiction, and violence. In those streets, we met children who had lost more than a home — they had lost trust, joy, and hope.

We couldn’t turn away.
So we dreamed of something better — a place built on love, dignity, and belonging.
A place where children would no longer be treated like statistics, but like sons and daughters who deserve to be seen, heard, and valued.
That dream became Casa Árbol — The Tree House. A home designed to restore what life has broken and to plant seeds of healing that will grow for generations.

David & María Duncan — Founders of Casa Árbol
David and María Duncan are the founders of Casa Árbol (The Tree House), a children’s home now under construction in León, Guanajuato, scheduled to open in 2026.
David, a father of three, brings more than 18 years of construction experience and project leadership, transforming his trade skills into the foundation of a home built on hope.
María, a psychologist and child‑protection specialist, has served with the State DIF of Guanajuato and led programs that safeguard children from violence and neglect.
Together, their shared vision blends precision and compassion — turning blueprints into belonging.
Through Casa Árbol, David and María are building a safe haven where children can find security, education, and healing. Each wall rising in León represents a promise that no child should ever grow up feeling forgotten.
